Learn Advanced Air Sealing Techniques

The PATS air sealing course will focus on how to properly perform an air sealing test, find the holes, and seal the leaks.

PATS students will learn ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation standards and receive a calculator to estimate the correct amount of ventilation.  Students will learn how to solve homeowner comfort problems and increase effective insulation R-value.

The two-day class consists of one day in the classroom and one day in the field. Students will receive hands-on experience in the field performing testing with a blower door and
sealing the home to maximize efficiency.

To successfully complete the class, students must demonstrate competency with all testing equipment and pass a 25-question written test.  Passing students will be listed on the PATS registry and given a certification card.

Coming Soon: Students will receive a self-proctoring DVD showing step-by-step testing procedures, including how to hook up the equipment and perform the tests.
